Do you connect to all wholesalers for inventory updates and ordering?
Yes. Datascan Pharmacy Software connects to any vendor that supports EDI. This time-saving feature is available in our software system for pharmacy inventory management as well as our POS product for managing OTC product inventory. The retail pharmacy software can send orders, receive order updates, and update your inventory levels, as well as update all inventory costs for accurate reporting.
Can your system find the best price for inventory replenishment?
Yes. Our one-of-a-kind pharmacy inventory management system offers smart shopping features to help you manage your purchasing. If we recognize a less expensive acquisition cost from another wholesaler in your pharmacy system, we will suggest moving that item to another wholesaler.
Can I set up automatic ordering in this system?
Yes. Datascan’s pharmacy software is designed to help streamline your inventory and ordering every single day. You can set reorder points, or PAR levels, to automatically add products to a purchase order. If an item falls below your minimal allowable reorder point, it will be automatically added to a purchase order up to the maximum allowed reorder point.
How many different inventories can I manage separately?
Datascan’s pharmacy inventory software allows you to create up to 4 different inventory categories. We offer a standard inventory, a 340b inventory, and up to 2 additional custom inventory categories. Each inventory category can be connected to its specific wholesale account to allow you to take advantage of automatic inventory updates.
